In high school, Scott and I were always crushing on Wesley's older sister, Liza. Aside from those occasional awkward moments when she'd have to remind Scott not to stare at her chest, Liza was really cool with us and would often take Wesley and I out for food and the like. She reinforced my affinity for hot blondes at the time.

Liza is now a very successful Amazonian working in the toy department and recently posted a "rootin' tootin' demonstration" and video review of "Fur Real Butterscotch Pony."

Key quotes:

  • "I'm going to show you how to turn on Butterscotch Pony..."
  • "Let's ride this pony!"

Congrats, Seattlites. Your hard work in the sack has earned Seattle the #4 spot on Forbes' list of America's Most Lustful Cities.

The list's conclusions are based off the per-capita index of over-the-counter contraceptive purchases in major U.S. markets. So really, the list measures "safe lust." Denver's the #1 city. Apparently people there really like to keep each other warm. San Antonio and Portland are tied for the #2 spot.

According to the article, contraceptive sales in Seattle are 124 percent higher than the per-capita index, with male contraceptive sales 113 percent above average and female contraceptive sales an astounding 196 percent above average. You go, girls.

Iโ€™ve positioned myself as a blogging referee before, calling people out when their blogs are whack in substance and style. Maybe Iโ€™ve been wrong, but probably not. The time has come for me to blow the whistle again.

My blog reading list is vastly diminishing as more blogs are adopting the โ€œ365 projectโ€ โ€“ a series in which bloggers reflect on themselves or 365 people that have impacted their personal lives in a year (ideally).

Iโ€™ve seen the concept done right on Flickr, where people take creative self-portraits each day, and Iโ€™ve seen the project done boring, where bloggers name such a wide range of people theyโ€™ve known that they disconnect with their readerships. Donโ€™t get me started on the sappy blogs that come out of this project.

Iโ€™m all for the blog series โ€“ travel, food, wedding, dating โ€“ but the โ€œ365 project" has moved beyond the blog series and become โ€œblog clichรฉ.โ€ Bloggers looking to install new, creative content on their blogs are doing just the opposite by jumping on the โ€œ365 projectโ€ bandwagon โ€“ theyโ€™re showing no creativity at all.

365ers: Quit the project, buy a diary to vent the past and get to brainstorming ways to keep your blogs fresh and compelling, without copping a template.
