That was anti-climactic.

My first class of grad school was canceled. Bummer.

At least I had an easy day at work yesterday. After a morning of meetings, my team skipped the rest of the day and enjoyed a long lunch on the company at Ipanema Brazilian Grill and saw a 2 p.m. showing of Get Smart.

That's the right way to start a work week.

We're back from Palm Desert!

I took plenty of photos (consider the above a preview) but will have to wait to share those a little later. My first day of school is tomorrow. AHHH!!!

Ahead of class, I need to have read a couple hundred pages and need to finish reading now. More importantly, I need to figure out where to park, decide what to wear, find my backpack, etc.

First days of school are so stressful.

Today I golfed my first full 18 holes and shot 114. Woo hoo!

I'm not sure what was more painful -- the 105 degree heat or Scott parking his golf cart on my foot.

It's so hot here in Palm Desert! The temperatures are hotter than expected, and we're breaking records set 50 to 100 years ago.

Temperatures reached 119 out on the freeway yesterday as we were driving over! Cars were blowing out cheap tires left and right and Scott kept busy dodging tire shreds most of the way.
We're spending the early mornings out in the sun before it gets too hot and are on our way now to go grab lunch and see "Kung Fu Panda." Perhaps, Panda Express for lunch for theme's sake?
I received an email early today from my professor notifying me that I have to read half a book on media economics before class on Monday. Picture me reading.

I'm packing my bags and getting out of this refrigerator we call the Pacific Northwest.

More specifically, Scott, Katrine and I are heading down to stay with Gramps in Palm Desert, Calif., for a few days.
