Wineries Like the Taste of Twitter: The Presentation

Another quarter of UW grad school has come to a close, almost. I still have to complete the final draft of my chapter for the UW Twitter Book. So now you know my weekend plans. For those unfamiliar with the project, you can catch up here.

I gave my final presentation last night in front of a sizable audience of Seattle's social media influencers at the UW. Thanks to the power of technology, you can watch it below. Prepare to be amazed.

Anatomy of a class reunion

Boy am I glad that I'm 26. I still have another two years before my high school class reunion. Amanda, however, is 28 and thus had the obligatory, American duty to attend her class reunion this year -- and drag me with her.

The event was all fun and only rarely awkward. It was a good, anthropological experiment to identify the necessary components of a successful class reunion:

Just to be clear

We're getting married on May 15, 2010 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We'll have a reception somewhere around Seattle, likely Lake Forest Park, on or around June 5, 2010. We'll probably honeymoon in between events.

I guess I never spelled that out, so there you go!

Also, I just started reading "The Geography of Bliss: One Grump's Search for the Happiest Places in the World" -- because that's what you do when you're working on grad school finals. You start reading a new book.

I just finished the chapter on Switzerland and it makes me want to go back there for the honeymoon. How to fit Italy, Greece, Austria and Switzerland in a couple weeks, I'll try.

I mean, we'll try.

More of Indiana in pictures

Unlike my last trip to Indiana, the weather has been tolerable and even (gasp!) enjoyable. Sure, it's been a little humid, but the evenings have been awesome. On Thursday night Amanda and I went when on a long walk to Grabill (Read: Amish town). The light was amazing!
