Congratulations to Scott, who was appointed last evening to the City of Federal Way Parks Commission.

Scott was one of nine candidates who interviewed for the open seats and was one of three chosen. In his role, Scott will have an equal vote for all things related to Federal Way's city parks. The commission reports directly to the Federal Way City Council.

"Federal Way is this state's fourth largest city by population, and its citizens deserve a better quality of life," said Scott in a prepared statement. "The parks are the very foundation of community and I'm honored to be appointed to the commission that will oversee their prosperity."

Hi all,

I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend. Mine was jam-packed.

On Saturday morning, I attended a pirate birthday party for some little dudes in Magnolia.

The focuspoint debut performance at Showbox SoDo was that night (which was AMAZING), and Amanda and I went out in Ballard after the show. We met some nice people at Hazlewood named Bryan, Stef and Corban. We all got along so well that we joined them and their friend Cari for coffee at Cafe Fiore and a stroll through the farmer's market on Sunday.

Anna and Heidi were in town from Oregon, so we met them for drinks at Uber Bar in Greenlake and ended the night at Balmar back in Ballard. Anna had no trouble expressing how much she missed me since college.

Today, Amanda and I ran around and shot photos with Sergio and Madison for a little promotional project, and now I'm spent. I did manage to crank through a lot of photos this evening, so be sure to check out the...

slideshow for more pictures.

Peace out.

Sergio keeps killing it with his senior portraiture work...

Looking back at the seniors he's shot lately, I can't remember girls being this pretty when I was in high school. Where are all the blemishes, bad hair cuts, unflattering clothes and overall awkwardness?

I guess evolution prevails.
