I am now on the Holiday Planning Team at work. And it's absolutely no different than the Party Planning Committee on "The Office."
My camera is "crapping out," so these were all I could savage. Best Buy is my money for a new point and shoot camera really soon.
First work, then play... even though we played putt-putt golf at work:
P.S. I HEART flickr slideshows. They've saved me so much work here.
On Sunday I took the opportunity to crash the last day of recording for Common Market's new "Tobacco Road" album. From what I heard, this soulful hiphop album will be an instant classic.
Highlights of the day:
- Ra Scion writing a verse and hook for a song on the spot.
- A group sing-a-long of "Umbrella" with Geo of the Blue Scholars playing guitar.
- Sabzi killing the piano on an outro for the album's title track.
Pictures below:
Catch me tomorrow at Neumos to watch Sabzi compete against the nation's best producers in the Red Bull Big Tune Beat Battle national championship.
Yesterday, Matt and I went to the Washington-Arizona game at Husky Stadium.
We cruised through the tailgate parties.
We had great seats, and I sat next to Husky legend Sonny Sixkiller!
Huskies quarterback and Ferndale phenomenon Jake Locker threw for 336 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 157 yards and two touchdowns, which ignited the crowd.
Jake Locker makes Matt feel warm and fuzzy inside.
But alas, Arizona went ahead in the final minutes of the game and won 48-41. We walked back through campus feeling defeated and headed to the Ave to wallow in our sorrows over teriyaki.
