On Injured Reserve List

As many of you know, I have been immobile and on strict bed rest since injuring my back running stairs Sunday morning. Thanks to everyone for visiting, emails, cards, flowers, etc.

I got to the doctor this morning and have been diagnosed with severe muscle spasms. Until these drugs kick in, Katrine will remain my on-call butler and I'll make a bigger dent in the couch.

I'm heading to Sergio's high school graduation at the Tacoma Dome tonight and Nina's graduation at Western tomorrow.

I'll shoot tons of photos like the proud brother that I am and post some here after the weekend. In the meanwhile, enjoy a couple relevant blasts from my past:

High school graduation, with Dad (right) Zio Marcello (left) and Zio Gianni (center).College graduation, with siblings.

La Carta de Oaxaca has got to be one of the best Mexican restaurant in Seattle. It's conveniently located just a few blocks from the apartment (and contributes to the tall list of reasons why Ballard is the superior neighborhood.)

Katrine and I just returned from a superb dinner, our rounded stomachs show consequence.

The margaritas were fierce. The mole was rich.

Gluttony isn't sin, it's necessary when you feast at Oaxaca. If you go, count me in.
