I drove past the now demolished Ballard Denny's this morning on my way to work.

A handwritten sign said "Greed Doomed Denny's" on the chain link fence dividing the destruction and sidewalk.

I don't know which is worse, the fact the Denny's was demolished for more condos, or the fact that the community identified the corporate chain restaurant as part of itself.

That was anti-climactic.

My first class of grad school was canceled. Bummer.

At least I had an easy day at work yesterday. After a morning of meetings, my team skipped the rest of the day and enjoyed a long lunch on the company at Ipanema Brazilian Grill and saw a 2 p.m. showing of Get Smart.

That's the right way to start a work week.
