Just to be clear

We're getting married on May 15, 2010 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We'll have a reception somewhere around Seattle, likely Lake Forest Park, on or around June 5, 2010. We'll probably honeymoon in between events.

I guess I never spelled that out, so there you go!

Also, I just started reading "The Geography of Bliss: One Grump's Search for the Happiest Places in the World" -- because that's what you do when you're working on grad school finals. You start reading a new book.

I just finished the chapter on Switzerland and it makes me want to go back there for the honeymoon. How to fit Italy, Greece, Austria and Switzerland in a couple weeks, I'll try.

I mean, we'll try.

More of Indiana in pictures

Unlike my last trip to Indiana, the weather has been tolerable and even (gasp!) enjoyable. Sure, it's been a little humid, but the evenings have been awesome. On Thursday night Amanda and I went when on a long walk to Grabill (Read: Amish town). The light was amazing!

Foto Friday: Back in Indiana

Amanda and I are back in Indiana for wedding planning and to attend her 10-year class reunion. We've been busy. Amanda is currently on her second of three scheduled wedding dress shopping trips. I don't know what the norm is for wedding dress shopping, but I hope that after her fifth trip (She's also been shopping twice in Washington) she'll know what she wants. We have a little engagement party at Amanda's parents' house tonight. Before the class reunion, we get to taste cakes tomorrow morning. We're leaning toward cupcakes.

Engagements are hard work.

We met with the catering saleswoman yesterday. The menu looks great but Holy Jesus Burrito, food is expensive. We also got to see the venue, Saloman Farm, which is freakin' amazing! I am really stoked about it. We went during a farmers' market so it was a little busy, but the vibe is just awesome. Without further ado...

The farmers' market was quite nice, too.
