I have a drinking problem. I mean, I drink way too much coffee in all of its forms.

I usually start the day with a cup or two of drip Fiore coffee at home. (Thanks, Katrine!)

I arrive at work between 8:30 and 9 a.m. and get in another cup of coffee shortly after arriving, which is why I can type approximately 210 wpm early in the day.

I cruise through lunch but need a pick-me-up around 2 p.m., which is when I splurge for a latte or mocha.

The realization that all this specialty drink consumption is bad for my health leads me to make the following announcement:

I AM TRANSITIONING TO SOY.

Sure I drink my drip coffee black, but I'm usually drinking dairy with my lattes or mochas.

No more. By drinking soy with my third, fourth or fifth caffienated drink of the day, I am sure to live a healthier lifestyle from now on.

I'm working on post-processing photos from my Europe trip and found a couple favorites...

This is on the elevator ride up the Reichstag in Berlin. The lines, angle and a lucky, blind shot worked for me here.

This is the view from the castle in Salzburg. The clouds created a spotlight effect on a neighboring guard station.

The far, tallest mountain is supposedly the mountain from which Julie Andrews ran to her monastery upon hearing church bells in "The Sound of Music." The scene of her running back from the mountains to the monastery, below the castle, took just seconds. I can assure that Julie Andrews could not have run that fast... Or could she?

Actual IM conversation today:

Scott: I think I need to get a general doctor... haven't had one since high school.
Me: Not a bad idea considering how injury-prone you are. And your immune system is subpar. Courtney is embarrased by your inability to fight the common cold.
Scott: My ability to fight the common cold is FINE... I think I have that SUPERBUG they are always talking about on Discovery Channel that will kill everyone in the world.
Me: OK. I get it. You have the Bird Flu.
